I only place my animals in good homes and require all prospective owners to sign a contract. I sell to individuals directly no broker's and no pet stores. Please read the below information and if you agree please sign.
I understand that I am purchasing a Pet quality animal, and not necessarily a show quality or breeding quality animal. As such no guarantees are made regarding show or breeding qualities.
The new owner promises to keep the animal in a safely fenced yard (not a chain) with appropriate housing for the weather conditions. They agree to provide any and all veterinary care the dog should need for it's lifetime. Including yearly vaccinations /worming and Heart worm preventatives. If it should prove necessary for the animal to change hands, the breeder has prior purchase rights at the original purchase price. The new owner agrees to never relinquish the animal to an animal control facility/ humane society / pet store or breeder.
Purchaser understands that they have 5 calendar days to have the animal examined, at the purchaser's expense, by a Veterinarian of their choice. Should the results of the examination be unsatisfactory, they may return the animal immediately for an exchange. This must occur within the 5 calendar days. This is the only warranty made or implied. The puppy will be guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery/pick up.
Seller assumes no liability or responsibility for any expenses incurred including vet bills of any kind.

The animal will be available for pick up or delivery at 8 weeks of age. Together with the signing of this document, a down payment of $200.00 will be made to hold the puppy until delivery/pick up arrangements are made and at that time the balance will be due. Delivery charges are not included in the price of the puppy.
Included is: first/second vaccinations/ worming/ micro chip/ dew claws/ any and all preventative treatment needed appropriate for the age of the puppy. Health certificate if the puppy is being delivered or traveling across state lines.

Warranty Info: There is a one year (1) warranty on all puppies for congenital defects. We will exchange any puppy found to have congenital defects within the first 12 months. Simply contact hounddawgs kennel with a brief description from a licensed vet and we will exchange the dogs at no cost. If the dog's need to be shipped this will be at the buyers expense for both dogs. You will be entitled to any available puppy at the next available litter. Hounddawgs/Shelley Cochran will not be held liable for any vet bills incurred. There will be no cash refunds. Exchange of puppies only. You must return the puppy in order to get a replacement puppy.
